How it works

Meeting notes without adding a bot to the call.

QuietRecap is a desktop meeting assistant that captures supported calls only after a user enables capture and grants device permissions. It creates timecoded transcripts, summaries, decisions, action items, and editable follow-up emails without adding a bot to the meeting.

1. Choose to capture a supported meeting

QuietRecap runs as a desktop application. It detects supported Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet calls locally, but records only after you choose to capture and grant the required device permissions. QuietRecap does not join the meeting as a bot.

2. Keep consent under your control

You decide when and where to use QuietRecap. Before recording, you are responsible for giving notice and obtaining any consent required by the people, laws, workplace policies, and agreements that apply to the meeting.

For the full policy, read how QuietRecap handles recording and consent.

3. Review a timecoded meeting record

After processing, QuietRecap creates a searchable, timecoded transcript alongside a summary, decisions, action items, speaker-review tools, and an editable follow-up email. Review the record before sharing it or acting on it.

4. Send the next step where work happens

You can use the recap as a reliable record, send an edited follow-up email, or synchronize authorized work with Asana and Slack. Connected Google Calendar access is read-only and is used to provide meeting context; QuietRecap does not create, edit, or delete calendar events.

What a reviewed recap looks like

Fictional example: a project team agrees to send a revised scope after budget approval. A useful recap keeps that dependency visible, lists the confirmed owner, and flags an unagreed deadline as an open question. Check the source timecode before assigning the task or sending the draft.

Capture requires an account and desktop installation. Audio capture happens on your device; transcription and recap generation use cloud processing. QuietRecap is not an offline-only recorder. Generated words, speaker labels, and commitments need review.

Start with a three-meeting allowance, with no credit card required. See current plans and data processing and retention before trying a supported meeting.
